I have been a programmer practically all my life. These days I am employed writing web apps in python in the medical device industry, I've also implemented the algorithms for the devices in C running on vXworks. Previous to this I have worked in the financial services sector writing backend software, and in desktop NMR writing frontend signal processing software, both in C# for Windows. There was a time in between NMR and medical devices where I worked on a phone app for reading lateral flow tests for TB, but that project ran out of funding.

Outside of work I like to hone my skills. My Github account has many works in progress and completed projects. My personal favourites are my python script for solving anagrams and the Countdown numbers game, as well as my implementation of freecell.

I am slowly building up a collection of Android apps, linked above. I like to make fun little games to pass the time.

Similar to anyone who has worked in software development this long, I am opinionated about how it should be done.
